Chip Ganassi Racing’s defending series champion and six-time NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon, driver of the No.9 PNC Bank Honda heads into this weekend’s GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course with a 22 point lead in the championship over second-placed Pato O’Ward of Arrow McLaren SP.

The Iceman has scored four top-five finishes in the opening four races of the season. At the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park, Dixon came home in third place.

At the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg, Dixon came home in fifth place before taking victory in the Genesys 300, race one of the doubleheader at Texas Motor Speedway. Dixon ended the XPEL 375 in fourth place.

Dixon heads into the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis as the defending race winner at the Brickyard having taken victory in the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis last year. Don’t dis-count Dixon this weekend.
