The news today that four time Verizon IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon has committed his future the Chip Ganassi Racing after penning a multi-year contract with the team provides continuity and stability for the both parties moving forward in the series.

The Iceman who ranks third on the all-time win list with 44 victories to his name including the 2008 Indianapolis 500.

The news also means that for the foreseeable future Mike Hull, Robbie Fast, Kate Gunlach and Danielle Shepard to name but a few members of the wolf-pack will all be part of the No.9 PNC Bank Honda crew.

The Iceman has the opportunity to make it to 48 career wins before the end of this season but knows that it will be tough ask as the Verizon IndyCar Series field of 2018 is extremely competitive.

Dixon heads into the Pocono weekend with three wins so far this season in Detroit, Texas and Toronto.

Mike Hull and Scott Dixon have such a good working relationship that the Iceman very rarely speaks on the radio with them both knowing what is needed for them to succeed in the series.

Ganassi and Dixon are sure to add to their success this season and into the future starting this weekend as the team and and the Iceman can focus on rounding off what has been a fantastic season now that the contract situation has been sorted out.
