W Series advisory board member David Coulthard says he is looking forward to seeing how the new drivers entering the championship for 2020 do and sees no reason why they can’t be fighting at the front from the start of the 2020 season in St Petersburg in Russia in May.

Speaking to Paddock Eye at Autosport International on Friday about the upcoming second season of the W Series, Coulthard said that when it came to ROKiT entering the series he said it great to see the company expand into other Motorsport in such a short period of time as they are now involved in Formula E, W Series and Formula One through their sponsorship of the Williams team.

The former Grand Prix said he is excited to see how the series gets on in Russia and by continuing with the DTM it is enabling them to reach a wider audience.

Coulthard said that he hopes that their new connections in Eussia help to raise the profile of female racing drivers in Russia particularly with Irina Sidorkova joining the series.
