Scuderia Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen’s free practice 2 came to a premature end on Friday evening at the Sakhir circuit, as the Iceman who topped the times in the second came into the pits for a fresh set of tyres the right front wheel was not secured properly with what is known as a cross threaded wheel nut.

Raikkonen’s issue was exactly the same that happened to the Haas F1 Team duo of Kevin Magnusson and Romain Grosjean last time out at the Australian Grand Prix. Race control have confirmed that the incident involving Raikkonen will be investigated after the session.
