Dale Coyne Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais believes that the changes the team have made so far during the off season will help the outfit to move forward in 2017.

The Honda powered team confirmed a number of key appointments last week with Bourdais joining the team from KVSH Racing while they have also appointed Bourdais’ former KV race engineer Olivier Boisson as well as bringing his chief strategist from his time at Newman/Haas when he won the Champ Car World Series, Craig Hampson.

Bourdais made his on track debut with Dale Coyne Racing at Gateway Motorsports Park last week and was happy with how the test went. Bourdais has said that the team are still working on find out where the strengths and weaknesses are.

The Frenchman will have to get used to working with a different aero kit having ran with a Chevrolet kit in 2016 with KVSH Racing.

Dale Coyne confirmed to Paddock Eye last week that the team should have their second driver in place by the end of the month.
