Ed Carpenter Racing’s Conor Daly in the No.20 U.S Air Force Chevrolet says he is excited to be competing in Portland for the first time in the NTT IndyCar Series this weekend and aims to get past the first corner.

I still have not raced in Portland – I’ve qualified in Portland in 2019 and qualified quite well, which was exciting. Hope to qualify well again, but make it past the first corner this time! We’ve had a lot of really consistent results lately and seem to be improving every single race. We want to keep that going! This will be my first time at Portland with ECR, so there will be a lot of new things for us but I am just very excited to start the West Coast swing.

Rinus VeeKay in the No.21 Sonax Chevrolet is also excited about this weekend’s race in Portland as it will be the Dutch driver’s first experience of competing in an IndyCar here.

I am very excited to go to Portland, really the whole West Coast! These are the last three races of the season and three races where we can get back to good results. I had a nice few weeks of letting my mind take it easy, but I am ready to get back to racing again!”
