Verizon IndyCar Series driver Conor Daly has confirmed that he will not return to AJ Foyt Racing for the 2018 season.
The American joined the team ahead of the start of the 2017 season from Dale Coyne Racing however the team struggled to adapt to their new partnership with Chevrolet and endured a difficult season.
Daly thanked both team owner AJ Foyt and team president Larry Foyt for giving him the opportunity to race in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
Foyt recently announced the arrival of IndyCar series veteran Tony Kanaan from Chip Ganassi Racing on a multi-year contract.
Daly went on to say that he is a Verizon IndyCar Series driver and that he hopes he can get a drive for 2018. Taking to Twitter, Daly’s mum, Beth Boles commented by saying:
