Verizon IndyCar Series driver Conor Daly is ‘excited and happier than he has ever been‘ and is ‘excited to get to work‘ after signing a contract to drive full time with Dale Coyne Racing in 2016.

Daly drove a part time schedule in IndyCar in 2015 and drove in place of the injured James Hinchcliffe in the No.5 Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda.

In May the American, whose father Derek Daly raced in Formula One will compete in the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at the end of May with sponsorship from Jonathan Byrd’s Racing.

Daly was speaking during a Q&A session at the Canadian International Auto Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Friday appearing alongside his former Schmidt Peterson Motorsports team mate James Hinchcliffe.
