Conor Daly says he is happy to be along for the ride with Harding Racing for this weekend’s Honda Indy Toronto, round 12 of the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season as the Main Street, Speedway Indianapolis based team evaluate candidates for their second seat for 2019.
Brian Barnhart, team president of Harding Racing has confirmed that Gabby Chaves is still with the team for the rest of the season and for 2019 and had said earlier this season that the team hoped to expand to a two car programme in 2019 and bringing Daly in for this weekend’s race is the first step in that process.
Speaking about the news Daly said on Twitter:
I have a lot of respect for what
@HardingRacing88 has done this year as a new full time team. Happy to be along for the ride this weekend in Toronto, one of my favorite races! Look forward to working with the #88 guys and @TeamChevy again! #IndyToronto
