Conor Daly took to Twitter on Wednesday from Hawaii saying that he traveled there on holiday as that is what Josef Newgarden did prior to signing for Team Penske.

Speaking on Twitter Daly commented by saying:

After got back from Hawaii he got a drive with Penske so I decided to vacation here as well.

Daly, who drove for Dale Coyne Racing during the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series season secured his very first series podium.

The Indiana native secured a second place finish in race one of the Chevrolet Dual In Detroit in June where he came home just behind race winner and new Dale Coyne Racing driver Sebastien Bourdais.

Daly finished the 2016 season in 18th place on 313 points. The American’s Dale Coyne Racing boss Dale Coyne told Paddock Eye earlier this month when asked about their second driver that they should have their second driver in place by the end of this month.
