Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Conor Daly says he is looking forward to filling in for Marcus Ericsson in the No.7 Arrow Electronics Honda for this weekend’s Portland Grand Prix.
The Indiana native has been called upon by the team after Alfa Romeo Racing requested Marcus Ericsson to join them at the Belgian Grand Prix to carry out his reserve driver role.
Daly last raced for Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports in 2015 when he drove in place of the injuried James Hinchcliffe.
Speaking about the news Daly said:
I look forward to fulfilling the substitute roll again this weekend, this time for @SPMIndyCar ! I lead my first laps in @IndyCar back in 2015 while piloting the #5 car. We will miss you @Ericsson_Marcus , I will do my best to keep the #7 at the front! #PortlandGP pic.twitter.com/rl885CDvt0
