Verizon IndyCar Series driver Conor Daly says that he is working on staying with AJ Foyt Racing in 2018 following what was ultimately a disappointing 2017 season for the team which owned by AJ Foyt and run by his son Larry.
The team made the move from Honda to Chevrolet at the end of 2016 and although Chevrolet won the manufacturers championship this season, Foyt endured a tough season which was in affect a transition year with a number of big changes having been put in place.
Conor Daly and Carlos Munoz ended the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series in 16th (Munoz) and 18th (Daly) respectively.
Speaking to IndyCar.com, Daly said that he feels AJ Foyt Racing are well prepared for the 2018 season. In the last five races of the 2017 season, Daly had three top ten finishes. It is not yet known when a decision will be made on Foyt’s drivers for 2018 will be made.
