Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe sees no reason why Danica Patrick won’t be up with everyone else at the 2018 Indianapolis 500 despite not racing in the Verizon IndyCar Series since 2012.

The Mayor of HinchTown replaced Patrick at Andretti Autosport when she made the move to NASCAR.

Danica Patrick announced last week that she will retire from full-time motorsport at the end of the 2017 season and will compete in the Daytona 500 at the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next May.

Hinchcliffe believes that Patrick will be up to speed following initial practice for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
