Oriol Servia joined Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May with support from Scuderia Corsa.
At the Grand Prix of Portland which made its return to the IndyCar Series schedule for the 2018 season, Takuma Sato started the race from 20th place and came through the field to take his first victory since the 2017 Indianapolis 500 which he won for Andretti Autosport.
