Bud Denker, President of Penske Corporation says that the organisation are confident that this year’s Detroit Grand Prix on Belle Isle which is due to take place on June 12/13 will go ahead as planned.

The Detroit doubleheader in 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID 19 global pandemic.

The 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season is set to get underway on April 18 with the IndyCat Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park before the series heads to the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg which takes place on April 25. May 1 and 2 sees IndyCar head to Texas Motor Speedway for the Genesys 300 double header.

The Month of May sees the GMR Grand Prix of the Indianapolis on the Indy road course on May 14 while the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 30.
