Former Renault Sport F1 Team Racing Director Frederic Vasseur has confirmed that he left the Enstone outfit due to the differing opinions on the future direction of the team.
The Enstone outfit confirmed Vasseur’s departure from the team on Wednesday. Speaking about his decision to leave, he said:
The reason is that there was too much different vision in the management of the team, so at this stage I think it makes sense for me to leave.
Vasseur said that the team need to have one vision from management but at Renault this was not the case that his departure was by ‘mutual consent’.
Vasseur is sad to leave the team but felt it would have been wrong for him to continue with the outfit.
Renault has confirmed that president Jerome Stroll and managing director Cyril Abiteboul will run the team between them.
