Wayne Taylor Racing’s Alexander Rossi in the No.10 Acura ARX-05 endured a disappointing 12 Hours of Sebring on Saturday after being handed a drive-through penalty for leaving his pit-stall with equipment attached the prior lap putting the 2016 Indianapolis 500 winner behind race leader Kamui Kobayashi in the No.48 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac DPi V.R.
Speaking following the incident, owner Wayne Taylor said:
“The penalty was deserved because you can’t roll away and have something attached to the car.. “It was clearly a problem by us. But we’ve still got a fast car, and there are seven and a half hours to go. It’s a bit of a setback.”
