Six-time and defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon who drives the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda says he hopes to go back to back in the championship in 2021.
The Iceman scored four wins during 2020 to secure his sixth championship.
Speaking during IndyCar Content Day on Friday, the Iceman said that he wants to go back to back which is something he has yet to do during his career to date.
Dixon also said that he has been impressed with the way seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson has integrated into Chip Ganassi Racing as he prepares to make his transition to the NTT IndyCar Series competing in road and street course events starting with the season opening Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park on April 18.
Chip Ganassi Racing have one of the strongest driver line ups in the series for the 2021 season with Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda, Marcus Ericsson in the No.8 Huski Chocolate Honda, Alex Palou joins the team in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda while Jimmie Johnson joins the team driving the No.48 Carvana NTT Honda alongside Tony Kanaan who drive the oval races over the next two years.
