Verizon IndyCar Series drivers Scott Dixon from Chip Ganassi Racing and James Hinchcliffe from Schmidt Peterson Motorsports have been testing for Honda at the Texas Motor Speedway as preparations for the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season continue.

Dixon was driving the No.9 NTT DATA Honda, while the Mayor of HinchTown, who it was announced last week will remain with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports having signed a multi-year contract extension with Indianapolis based outfit was driving the No.5 Arrow Electronics Honda.

The Iceman said that the new car reminds him of his first CART back in 2001 and that initially he didn’t like the new look however he now feels it has grown on him and he is looking forward to racing the new aero kit.

For Hinchcliffe, the new aero kit is a reminder of why he fell in love with IndyCar years ago.
