Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon says he is excited to be back competing in the LeMans 24 Hours this weekend in the No.3 Cadillac V-Series. R hybrid prototype in the centenary edition of the world’s most prestigious endurance race.
The Iceman, fresh from finishing the Detroit Grand Prix in fourth place will drive alongside former NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver Sebastien Bourdais and Renger Van Der Zande.Dixon has four previous starts at LeMans with a best finish of third in class in the 2016 event in the Ford GT for Chip Ganassi Racing.
Speaking to the official IndyCar website, Dixon said:
“I’m excited to go back to Le Mans. “It’s been a few years and my first time to go in the premier class. Competing with the Hypercar brings a totally different level to it. It’s a difficult race and having the opportunity to win with the Cadillac LMDh is very special.”
