There may be no IndyCar action this weekend however for reigning series champion Scott Dixon who drives the No.9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Team Chevrolet flew to France to prepare for this year’s LeMans 24 Hours that the New Zealander will contest in with Chip Ganassi Racing.

Dixon arrived in France earlier this week and will spend time in the LeMans simulator familiarizing himself with the circuit.

Dixon explained:

There are different uses for the simulators like with Chevrolet and Pratt Miller you can do set-up stuff on the IndyCar model. On the Le Mans simulator I will learn the track and understand the protocols. Le Mans is quite unique in that it has speed zones and speed controls. Because I have never raced there before it will help get me up to speed to how Le Mans operates.

Dixon will return to his home in Indianapolis for the weekend to spend to Easter with his wife Emma and their kids, Poppy and Tilly before heading to Arizona next week for the Desert Diamond West Valley Phoenix Grand Prix at Phoenix International Raceway.
