Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda says that he was suffering from understeer during his qualifying run for Sunday’s season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg presented by RP Funding.

The Iceman will start Sunday’s 100 lap race from 11th place just behind his teammate Marcus Armstrong in the No.11 Ridgeline Lubricants Honda.

Dixon says that he hopes that the team can come up with something overnight and move forward in race on Sunday as he said they were struggling to get the tires together.
