The Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course takes place next weekend over the July 4 weekend, with one driver in particular who knows his way around this track. Six-time series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda is the most successful active INDYCAR driver at the Mid-Ohio circuit. The Iceman has won here seven times.
Dixon’s first win came in 2007, followed by another win in 2009. The No. 9 crew went back-to-back in 2011 and 2012. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver also took victory here in 2014, with his most recent victory coming in 2019.
Chip Ganassi Racing and Team Penske are the joint-most successful teams here at Mid-Ohio with 12 wins apiece. Chip Ganassi Racing dominated the race here from 2009 through 2014.
Scott Dixon won here from the lowest grid position in 2014 when he started the race from 22nd place. The most recent Chip Ganassi Racing Mid-Ohio winner is Alex Palou, who won here in 2023.
