Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing is not giving up on defending his championship in 2019.
The Iceman is 52 points behind championship leader Josef Newgarden of Team Penske with just three races remaining this year.
Dixi has scored four podiums in the last four races in Toronto, Iowa, a win in Mid Ohio and a second place finish last time out in Pocono.
The momentum is with the Chip Ganassi Racing pilot however he has been in this position so many times before and knows anything can happen.
There are two races in the next two weeks starting with Gateway this weekend before heading to Portland next week.
The season wraps up on September 22 with the double points Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey in California and Dixon is hoping he will be lifting the Astor Cup at the end of what has been a fantastic season.
