Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda says that the team found an issue with his car during his final run on Fast Friday and ended the day in 10th place with a speed of 232.450MPH. Speaking to NBC following the action, the Iceman said that they found an issue with the car and he believes if they can’t sort it they will be on the back foot going into qualifying on Saturday,
Takuma Sato was once again fastest with a 234.753MPH in the No.11 Deloitte Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing and confirmed following the session that he was using the setup similar to that of Scott Dixon from last year’s pole run.
Defending Indianapolis 500 winner Marcus Ericsson was fourth with a speed of 234.029MPH.
Alex Palou was P14 with a 233.268MPH.
