Verizon IndyCar Series driver Scott Dixon who drives the No.9 Camping World Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing has reached out to Lucy, the young second grader who sent a thank you letter to the Verizon IndyCar Series for keeping her favorite driver safe.
Lucy’s letter came following Dixon’s huge accident during the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil last month.
The Iceman, who goes into this weekend’s Rainguard Water Sealers 600 at Texas Motor Speedway leading the Verizon IndyCar Series standings by eight points from Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves.
