Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda says he is unsure what happened to his car after finishing Carb Day practice in 19th place with a speed of 223.388MPH and speaking following the action, the Iceman said:

I don’t know what happened there with the PNC Bank car honestly. I hope we find something wrong with the car because it wasn’t great. It’s really bizarre, and nothing like we had all month, so we are unsure. We are perplexed as to why this is, there are a lot of new parts on the car – including the gear box, bell housings, uprights, etc. So hopefully we find something that is a little off. We were just trying to get through some last-minute items, but ultimately it was not great anyway, so we are trying to figure out why. There is a fundamental issue on the car and we’ll work to find out what happened there.”

Felix Rosenqvist in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda ended the session in 20th with a speed  223.210MPH and speaking following the action he commented by saying:

It was a bit of different conditions today. Hopefully it will be like this on race day, so we have an idea of what it is going to be like. It felt a bit different in the NTT DATA car today – we had some things to change to make it feel right. The car felt better than it did last time, so it’s getting better and better. We’re going to keep working out there and we should be good.”
