Verizon IndyCar Series points leader Scott Dixon heads into today’s Honda Indy Toronto starting the 85 lap race from fifth place following a tough qualifying.
In 2016, the Iceman took the Verizon P1 Award however going into the race he holds a eight point lead of championship rival Helio Castroneves who won last time out in Iowa last weekend.
The circuit around Exhibition Place is a very bumpy circuit however if anyone came through the pack it is Scott Dixon with Mike Hull calling the race for the New Zealander. Dixon took back to back wins in Toronto in 2013 and he will be hoping that he can challenge for the win today.
Last season, having started the race from pole position, Dixon finished the race in the race in eighth place.
The Honda Indy Toronto takes place at 3:30PM ET.
