Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing heads into the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series championship deciding Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in fourth place in the championship,
The Iceman who heads into the race 85 points behind championship leader Josef Newgarden is the only driver of the four eligible for the championship to have raced an IndyCar at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Dixon has never won at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and will be hoping that he does just that next weekend in order for him to win his sixth championship.
The New Zealander has had a tough season in 2019 and has had his fair share of reliability issues most recently last time out in Portland when a battery issue while leading the race put the five time champion down the field.
It may be a nearly impossible task but Chip Ganassi Racing know how to win as does Dixon and he will just need his ducks to be lined up next weekend.
