The Verizon IndyCar Series field are beginning their 2018 preparations in earnest this week as on Monday they reported to Indianapolis for their annual medicals.
Dale Coyne Racing’s Indy 500 entrant Pippa Mann, tweeted:
Official winter testing gets underway in January with the all-new aero kits which have been delivered to the teams over the past few weeks, a number of teams have been able to carry out testing of the new aero kits, with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, Chip Ganaasi Racing, Team Penske and Ed Carpenter Racing all carrying out tests in recent weeks.
Defending Verizon IndyCar Series champion Josef Newgarden tweeted:
