Dreyer and Reinbold Racing have confirmed that they are looking into running a second car at the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil with Danica Patrick in contention for the second seat alongside Sage Karam according to team owner Dennis Reinbold.
Reinbold, who entered Sage Karam in the Indianapolis 500 last season with help from Chip Ganassi Racing last season has confirmed that he will enter the 2018 Indy 500 by himself.
Reinbold has confirmed that in relation to the second seat his team have spoken to Danica Patrick’s management team about the possibility of Patrick competing at the Brickyard with the team.
Patrick will compete in the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil which will be the Roscoe, Illinois native’s last race.
Reinbold has confirmed the team have spoken to drivers who have money and drivers who don’t bring financial backing.
DRR have also spoken to former Ed Carpenter Racing driver JR Hildebrand and former Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver Oriol Service about driving for the team.
Patrick announced earlier this week that she has reunited with GoDaddy.com for both the Daytona and Indianapolis 500.
