Chip Ganassi Racing confirmed on Thursday that Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team test and reserve driver Felipe Drugovich will test for the team at Barber Motorsports Park at the end of September.
The Brazilian will join INDY NXT driver Jamie Chadwick at the test, and the British driver will be in action for Andretti Global. Chadwick claimed her maiden INDY NXT by Firestone race win earlier this season.
Chadwick wants to complete a partial 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule of six to eight races; however, Paddock Eye understands that this will not be with Andretti Global due to the introduction of the new charter system.
Meanwhile, Ireland’s James Roe has confirmed that he is looking at the possibility of finding sponsorship to enter the Indianapolis 500 in May while also competing in the INDY NXT presented by Firestone championship before looking to enter the NTT INDYCAR SERIES full-time in 2026.
