Team Penske announced on Tuesday that DXC Technology will return to their Verizon IndyCar Series programme for the 2018 season.

In their first season in the Verizon IndyCar Series, DXC Technology scored their maiden victory when they served as primary sponsor to 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series champion Simon Pagenaud’s No.22 Chevrolet.

The Frenchman won the season ending Grand Prix of Sonoma. Speaking about the extended partnership with DXC, Team Penske founder Roger Penske stated:

Team Penske is excited to grow the partnership with DXC Technology for 2018. “This is a technology-dependent sport and we were able to integrate DXC into our INDYCAR program this season and we will be ready to take our performance, and hopefully our results, to the next level with them in 2018.

As well as serving as primary sponsor for six races, DXC will also act as an associate sponsor to the No.22 Chevrolet for the remaining races on the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series schedule.

Speaking about the extension of the partnership, Team Penske’s Simon Pagenaud commented by saying:

I enjoyed working with DXC Technology and representing their brand this past season. “DXC Technology shares a similar philosophy with us at Team Penske, which is to strive for excellence. We are very proud to work together relentlessly toward further limits in our respective industries. We were excited to get a win with them in Sonoma and everyone at Team Penske wants to build on that as we welcome them back for 2018.
