NASCAR Cup star Dale Earnhardt Jr who made an extremely impressive NTT IndyCar Series iRacing Challenge debut last weekend in the Chevrolet 275 at Michigan International Speedway where he started the race from 18th place and made his way through the field to finish on the virtual podium on third place in the No.3 Nationwide Chevrolet says he won’t race this weekend in Motegi.
The NTT IndyCar Series announced on Monday that this weekend’s fourth round of the iRacing Challenge will take place at Japan’s Twin Ring Motegi. The circuit last hosted a race in 2012 which saw Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 Target car take victory.
Earnhardt Jr tweeted:
I really enjoyed my experience with the @IndyCaronNBC gang last weekend. I hope that I can join them again soon but won’t be with them this weekend at Twin Ring Motegi. That will be a fun one to watch. #INDYCARChallenge
The fourth round of the NTT IndyCar Series iRacing Challenge at Twin Ring Motegi takes place on Saturday and will be live on NBCSN.
