NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr says he won’t return to racing after making his NTT IndyCar Series iRacing Challenge in the Chevrolet 275 at Michigan International Speedway.

Starting the race towards the back of the field the American stayed out of trouble avoiding the first lap crash to bring his No.3 Nationwide Chevrolet he in third place behind race winner and defending Indianapolis 500 champion Simon Pagenaud in the No.22 DXC Technology Chevrolet for Team Penske and Scott McLaughlin in the No.2 Snap-On Chevrolet.

Speaking to his NBCSN colleagues after the race, Earnhardt said that although he wouldn’t be tempted to get back behind the wheel of a real racing car including an NTT IndyCar he is keen to return to the NTT IndyCar Series iRacing Challenge.

The NTT IndyCar Series will announce early next week the next venue for round four of the inaugural NTT IndyCar Series iRacing Challenge.
