Ed Carpenter Racing confirmed on Wednesday that they have entered into a partnership with Indiana Wesleyan University for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil which takes place on May 29.
Ed Carpenter will participate in his 13th Indianapolis 500 start alongside full-time Ed Carpenter Racing entry Josef Newgarden.
Speaking about the new partnership, Ed Carpenter commented by saying:
It is great to be able to partner with Indiana Wesleyan University. As a full-time athlete and a college graduate, I value the importance of higher education, Without my degree, I certainly don’t think I would be in the position I am today. I look forward to working with IWU and their current and prospective students!
Carpenter will be hands on with IWU and will appear in recruitment campaigns and will speak to prospective students. David Rose, VP for non residential enrollment management and marketing commented by saying:

The partnership will see administrators and faculty joining Ed Carpenter Racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the month of May and for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.
