Dale Coyne Racing confirmed that RC Enerson who made his Verizon IndyCar Series debut with the team at Mid-Ohio will return for this weekend’s race at Watkins Glen.
The team have also confirmed Enerson will drive in the Verizon IndyCar Series finale. the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma. Enerson will drive the No.19 Boy Scouts of America Honda alongside full time Dale Coyne Racing driver Conor Daly in the No.18 Jonathan Byrd’s Hospitality and Restaurant Group Honda.
The first practice session for Sunday’s IndyCar Grand Prix at the Glen gets underway on Friday morning at 11AM.
On his Verizon IndyCar Series debut at the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio last month, Enerson out-qualified his team mate Conor Daly, starting the race from 18th place while Daly started the event from 22nd.
In the race itself, Enerson was extremely impressive and finished the race in 19th place. The final two races gives the 19 year old the opportunity to finish out the season with Dale Coyne and show the team what he can do as he looks to secure a drive in the series for next season.
