Dale Coyne Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais suffered a engine failure bringing his fourth day of the practice for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil on Thursday.

Bourdais who has made a strong start to the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series season said the team were not sure what caused the engine failure and he is unsure whether Honda Performance Development know what the issue is either.

It was Bourdais’ second engine failure in less than a week after the Frenchman retired from the IndyCar Grand Prix of Indianapolis last weekend.
