Olympic medal winner Jessica Ennis Hill is one of several leading sports personalities to have joined the W Series to help the drivers prepare for the new season.
Dame Ennis Hill DME is joined for the four day training course by current world senior snooker champion Jimmy White and former England netball captain Ama Agbeze MBE, for the event which will prepare the drivers and teams in the following modules which will include media skills, nutrition, physical fitness, performance culture and psychometrics.
Speaking about the opportunity to work with W Series Ennis Hill DME said:
I’ve been following the amazing progress of W Series really closely and totally support their mission to encourage more women into the sport. Performing at the highest level goes beyond physical conditioning – it’s a perfect alignment of mind and body, and I hope my story will inspire and motivate these great drivers as they work to reach their full potential.
Jimmy White will do demonstrations in perction and speaking about the training event, W Series CEO Catherine Bond Muir said:
We are committed to developing the best female drivers in the world and this means investment in skills and training, as well as access to our proven international racing series. In this way we believe we will help our drivers realise their full potential and prepare them for competition in the elite formulae of motorsport – perhaps even Formula 1, in time.”
The 2020 W Series season kicks off in St Petersburg Russia on May 30.
