The Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team’s Marcus Ericsson has just two races left with the Swiss based outfit. The Swede has had a busy time in-between the Mexican and this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix as last week he traveled to Indianapolis where he was announced as James Hinchcliffe’s team mate in the Verizon IndyCar Series for 2019 driving the No.7 Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda.
Ericsson said at the time of the announcement that he hoped he could use his experience from Formula One to help him in his rookie season in IndyCar next year.
Ericsson heads to Brazil off the back of a ninth place finish last time out in Mexico. Ericsson will remain with the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team as a brand ambassador. The team are currently in 8th place in the Constructors championship, just eleven points behind the Racing Point Force India F1 Team.
