Schmidt Peterson Motorsports new IndyCar Series driver Marcus Ericsson completed over 100 laps of the Sebring International Raceway earlier this week as he began preparations for his IndyCar Series debut at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg in March.
The former Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team driver joined Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power at the test.
Taking to Twitter following the test, Ericsson said:
First day in the new office . Over a 100 laps completed and lots of things learned. The car is so much fun to drive! Big thanks
@SPMIndyCar for a great day! Can we start 2019 already!?
