Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team driver Marcus Ericsson could join Carlin Racing alongside Max Chilton for the 2019 IndyCar Series season according to reports in US.

Ericsson who will be replaced by Antonio Giovinazzi next season has expressed his desire to race full time in IndyCar and if the move does happen he will continue his role with the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team.

Charlie Kimball who drove the No.83 Tresiba® Chevrolet for Carlin Racing this season has said he is working on a full-time IndyCar Series drive in 2019 but has not yet said whether that will be with Carlin or elsewhere.

Team owner Trevor Carlin has said that the team are focused on continuing as a two car operation next season despite suggesting earlier this year that they would expand to a three car programme in 2019.
