The Sauber F1 Team’s Marcus Ericsson was happy with his final day running in an updated version of last years Ferrari powered C34.
The Swedish driver completed 108 laps and ended the day with the fifth fastest time overall, a 1m 25.237s. Ericsson now hands over the car to his team mate Felipe Nasr and the next time he will drive a Sauber will be the new Ferrari powered C35 at the second Barcelona test which takes place from March 1 – 4.
Speaking about his day in the car, Ericsson commented by saying:
It was another positive day. I was able to get a lot of laps under my belt. We got through the planned programme, which was a continuation of yesterday. In the morning it was mainly about aero measurements, which is not the most fun for the driver, but very important for the team. Later on in the afternoon we again tested different set-up options. I am pleased with my first two days of testing this season. Now I am looking forward to driving the C35 next week.
