Marcus Ericsson was in Indianapolis on Tuesday to complete his seating fitting for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.
It was announced on Tuesday that the Swede who currently competes in Formula One with the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team will move to the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2019 partnering James Hinchcliffe.
The seat fitting was also a chance for Ericsson to meet some of the engineers that he will be working with next season.
Ericsson tweeted on Monday that he is super excited to be joining Schmidt Peterson Motorsports and the IndyCar Series in 2019.
Ericsson’s new team mate James Hinchcliffe tweeted:
I think you’re gunna like it here, @Ericsson_Marcus. Welcome to the team! https://t.co/h2jpx9BBBq
