Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Marcus Ericsson has a very similar driving style to his team mates James Hinchcliffe and Robert Wickens.
The team were extremely impressed with the Swedish drivers first outing for the team which took place at Sebring International Raceway earlier this week. The team were very happy with his feedback and the mileage he completed over the course of the test.
The team worked hard to ensure that Ericsson was prepared for the test having come from Formula One. The team were delighted with Ericsson’s fitness levels and he completed everything that was required by the team. Ericsson used five sets of tyres during the day and was not at all phased by the lack of power steering.
New SPM General Manager Taylor Kiel said that the teams aim for the test in Sebring was to get Ericsson comfortable with the car and the getting the right balance for his driving driving style.
