The Verizon IndyCar Series announced on Wednesday that they have signed a multiyear media rights package with NBC Sports Group beginning with the 2019 Verizon IndyCar Series season.
The new deal will see NBC Sport take up the exclusive broadcasting rights to show every Verizon IndyCar Series practice, qualifying and race including the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
In a first for the Verizon IndyCar Series, they will provide exclusive content to NBC Sport Gold which is a leading direct to consumer product.
The new partnership will also see all Verizon IndyCar Series races broadcast live on the NBCSN Sport website and on the mobile app. Mark Miles, CEO of Hulman and Company, the owners of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and parent company to the Verizon IndyCar Series commented by saying:

The 2019 Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil will be the first race at the speedway since 1965 not to be broadcast live on ABC and speaking about their partnership with ABC, Miles commented by saying:

NBC Sports and NBCSN president of programming Jon Miller commented on the new deal by saying:

NBCSN which has been a telecast partner of the Verizon IndyCar Series since 2009 will broadcast their first race of the 2018 season next time out with the Phoenix Grand Prix, the first oval race of the new season and also the first oval event of the new era in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
