Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing head into next weekend’s Verizon IndyCar Series season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg following an extremely busy off season.
The team who had a strong 2017 season which saw Graham Rahal win the Detroit double header will return to a two car full time operation with reigning Indianapolis 500 winner Takuma Sato returning to the team from Andretti Autosport.
The team have been extremely strong during pre season testing and they will be hoping to carry this progress forward during the season.
The fact that the team have two full time cars will help them to develop the new aero kit along with the Honda engine. Rahal have a great management structure in place with team co-owners Bobby Rahal, Mike Lanigan and former late night talk show host David Letterman who have built a great team.
Over the course of the off season, RLL have brought in multiple new partners such as Panasonic (with Sato), Luther Automotive Group and OGIO Travel Gear to name but a few.
The team will be aiming to hit the ground running with the universal aero kit when the new 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season gets underway with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg next weekend.
