Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe tried out the new 2018 universal aero kit at Sebring international Raceway on Tuesday.
The Mayor of HinchTown who joined series champion Josef Newgarden of Team Penske, Scott Dixon from Chip Ganassi Racing and Spencer Pigot from Ed Carpenter Racing on track took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to say:
Was a blast getting a few laps in the ’18 @IndyCar yesterday. You guys are in for a treat. The racing is going to be a blast in that thing.
The first official Verizon IndyCar Series test with the new kits will take place in January with teams expected to take delivery of the new kits in November.
