Williams Martini Racing’s Felipe Massa is one of most experienced drivers on the Formula One grid and during a career spanning over 250 Grand Prix he has experienced an awful lot.
The Brazilian began his Formula One career with the Sauber F1 Team before being called up to Ferrari to partner Michael Schumacher.
In 2007, Massa was joined at Ferrari by Kimi Raikkonen who won the championship that year. In 2008, Massa held his own has he came within one point of winning the world championship being beaten by Lewis Hamilton in the last race of the season in Brazil.
In 2009, Massa suffered severe injuries in a crash during practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix which nearly ended his life.
Massa made a full recovery and returned to Ferrari in 2010 where he was joined by Fernando Alonso. The Brazilian joined Williams Martini Racing in 2014 after Ferrari re-signed Kimi Raikkonen.
Massa retired from Formula One at the end of last season after Williams signed rookie Lance Stroll to partner Valtteri Bottas however when world champion Nico Rosberg announced his retirement Bottas replaced him at Mercedes while Williams persuaded Massa to return.
