Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Santino Ferrucci in the No.45 Hy-Vee Honda has been transported to IU Medical Hospital in Indianapolis for precautionary checks and deep scans after a big crash during practice for the Indianapolis 500.

Dr. Geoff Billows, IndyCar Medical Director, said that Ferrucci has a gash on his leg, but he is alert and ok.

The team are confident that they can get the car repaired and back on track ahead of qualifying.
